Dr. G's Music Studio Information

Welcome

If you are reading this, you have taken the first step in deciding to enroll in voice lessons for yourself or for your child! I have been teaching private voice for over twenty-five years, and it is still my greatest passion to help young singers improve their individual technique and performance skills so they can be the absolute best singers they can be! I invite you to read below to find out more details about taking voice lessons or coachings.

How it Works

Studying music is a commitment that builds discipline and inspires joy. I respectfully request that when signing up for lessons or coachings, students/parents commit to continuing through the entirety of a semester. The fall semester runs August through December, the spring semester runs January through May, and the summer semester runs June and July. Voice students can sign up for weekly 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons. (Montgomery High students may sign up for a 22-minute lesson during the school day during their choir time.)

Cost and Payment for Voice Lessons

30-minute lesson - $30 per student

45-minute lesson - $45 per student

60-minute lesson - $60 per student

22-minute lesson - $22 per student (Montgomery High Students Only)

Cost and Payment for Coachings

30-minute coaching - $25 per student

60-minute coaching - $50 per student

Invoices are sent out monthly and are due on or before the first lesson of the month. Invoices can be paid through Venmo (Dana-Guidroz) or through Zelle (danaguidroz@gmail.com).

MyMusicStaff.com

Each student will receive a log-in for the mymusicstaff.com website. This will be the primary communication source between students and parents and me. At this website, students can log practice hours, find assigned repertoire, see previous lesson notes, find a calendar of upcoming lessons and events, peruse open lesson times for make-up lessons, notify me of cancellations, etc. Please take time to explore this resource.

Cancellations

Make-up credits are only offered for students who cancel a lesson at least 24 hours in advance of a lesson. If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson, you will NOT receive credit for the lesson you missed. If you have a true emergency and are unable to notify me 24 hours in advance, please email me at danaguidroz@gmail.com as soon as possible. Only 2 make-up credits will be issued per student per semester of study. In addition, make-up credits will expire within 90 days of the missed lesson. If I have to miss a lesson for any reason, I will make it up at the student’s convenience or provide a tuition credit for the following month, whichever the student/parent prefers.
